2026 SOVAS VOICE ARTS AWARDS CORPORATE –BEST JAPANESE VOICEOVER

In January 2026, I had the incredible honor of attending the SOVAS Voice Arts® Awards in Los Angeles. For the second consecutive year, I was humbled to receive an award at this prestigious ceremony, often called the “Oscars of Voiceover.”

While I was nominated in both the Corporate Video and Audiobook categories, my journey to LA was fueled by something even more meaningful than the trophies: a profound desire to reunite with my global “voice family.”

A Story for Every Child: Bethany’s Vision

The award-winning project this year was a multi-language audiobook created by the talented Bethany. Her vision is truly inclusive—she wanted to create a world where blind children can experience the joy of music and languages, and where deaf children can immerse themselves in stories through vibrant, “pop” illustrations.

To make this dream a reality, the book is being developed in English, Portuguese, Italian, and Japanese. It is even set to include Braille in future editions. I had the privilege of providing the Japanese voice for this project. Knowing Bethany’s heart—to create a bridge for both children and adults to explore foreign cultures—I chose to attend the ceremony in my traditional Kimono again this year, representing the spirit of Japan. Collaborating with such a diverse team of creators was an exhilarating experience that reminded me why I love what I do.

Project Be Brave: The Power of 40 Voices

Another highlight of my year was my involvement in “Project Be Brave.” Founded by Tina, a breast cancer survivor, this project aims to spread the vital message of early detection and mammography.

Tina reached out to voice talents across five continents, and more than 40 artists joined her cause. I was honored to provide the Japanese voice and introduce my dear friend Angela, who delivered the message in Mandarin. I also had the pleasure of dubbing the dialogue between puppeteer Cara and her character, Davey, into Japanese. By bringing their heartwarming interaction to life in my native language, we ensured this life-saving message reaches everyone, including children.

Seeing my teammate Angela receive her own award at SOVAS was a moment of immense pride for our entire team.

Voice as a Force for Good

This awards ceremony is about more than just individual recognition; it is a testament to what we can achieve when artists from around the world unite. It has given me the confidence that while we may be individuals, when we raise our voices together, we can truly touch people’s hearts and make a difference.

I look forward to continuing my journey as a voice artist who partners with global creators to contribute to society. My mission remains the same: to deliver excellence and heart in every recording.

Are you looking for a dedicated Japanese voice to bring your story to life? I would love to partner with you and create something extraordinary together.
