The second round of the online storytelling event “Ehon Land 2026” has officially launched! A wonderful group of picture book authors, announcers, and creators are sharing some truly beautiful stories.
For this session, I had the pleasure of performing the voiceover narration for a fantastic Japanese picture book titled “Mendokusa“ (which translates to “What a Hassle!”).
Quick question for you—are you good at keeping things tidy?
When my kids were little, it felt like every time I finished putting their toys away, they would instantly flip the basket upside down and scatter them all over again! (I’m sure many parents can relate… Haha!)
“Mendokusa” is packed with fun, rhythmic words that children can easily catch and chant along with. I put my heart into this narration, hoping it might inspire little ones to actually enjoy tidying up their rooms while having fun with the story.
Even though the narration is entirely in Japanese, I believe children can feel the fun, rhythmic energy of the story beyond words.
This is a limited-time release, so I highly recommend checking it out soon with your family!
